History of Service & Goodwill
1969
A new chapter began when Tom Dixon and Lois Crouse reactivated the Auxiliary, sparking a powerful movement of community involvement and dedicated local service that continues to thrive today.
1970
The Auxiliary began investing in the future of healthcare by launching a scholarship program, funded through gift shop sales and memorial gifts to support students pursuing their medical careers.
2004
In honor of Thomas Dixon's lasting legacy and service, the scholarship program was officially renamed the Thomas Dixon Memorial Scholarship, continuing our deep commitment to future professionals.
2024
Generations of volunteers continue to impact Kirby through fundraising, blood drives, and vital equipment purchases, reflecting the dedication of neighbors who believe in caring for one another deeply.
2025
The tradition continues as new members and acts of generosity carry forward our lasting commitment to Kirby Medical Center and the diverse communities it serves through every volunteer hour donated.
