Market on the Prairie: A Community Celebration Made Possible by You
Shopping, delicious food, friendly conversations, and a shared commitment to local healthcare made Kirby Auxiliary’s Market on the Prairie a wonderful day. While this year’s event has come to a close, we are still celebrating the volunteers, vendors, and community members who made it possible.
With indoor and outdoor vendors, food trucks, and homemade ice cream made on-site, the market offered plenty of reasons to gather and stay awhile. This year’s expanded outdoor vendor area included trailers and pop-up tents, giving visitors even more to explore. Free admission and parking helped make it a welcoming outing for the community.
The Volunteers Behind the Day
An event like Market on the Prairie begins long before the first shopper arrives. Planning, coordinating vendors, arranging spaces, and preparing for visitors require time, teamwork, and dedication.
Kirby Auxiliary volunteers brought that commitment to every stage of the event. Their work behind the scenes and throughout the day helped create an enjoyable experience for vendors and guests alike.

Thank You to Our Vendors and Community
Our vendors brought variety, creativity, and energy to the market. Their generosity also supplied three raffle baskets, adding another special element to the day. Food vendors and freshly made ice cream gave guests a chance to enjoy a treat while visiting with friends and neighbors.
We are equally grateful to everyone who came out to shop, eat, connect, and support Kirby Auxiliary. Whether you made a purchase, invited a friend, or helped spread the word, you played a part in the event’s success.
A Celebration with a Purpose
Market on the Prairie is one example of how Kirby Auxiliary brings people together in support of Kirby Medical Center. Through fundraising, scholarships, volunteering, and acts of service, the Auxiliary helps make a meaningful difference for patients, staff, and the communities we serve.
